Bob Bangerter Singer/songwriter/guitarist Bob Bangerter lives on the isle of Maui. He has released four jazz albums,
three of which have garnered four Na Hoku Hanohano Award nominations. His albums feature some great
players from the Islands, including Michael Ruff. |

| Bob moved to Maui from the San Jose area about 30 years ago. Over the years Bob has written songs
with/for The Doobie Brothers, Michael Ruff and others, recorded and gigged locally, and has taught music & guitar. Bob plays
acoustic and electric guitars, dobro and lap steel. |

Bob Bangerter's most recent album, Ordinary Man is a collection of
songs written by Bangerter and co-written with Michael Ruff. Michael also sings several songs and plays
keyboards, David Inamine producing and on bass, Garin Poliahu on drums, Lenny Castro on percussion,
Cornelius Bumpus on soprano sax... Nominated for 2004 Na Hoku Hanohano Jazz Album and Best Engineered Album of the Year

Blue Groove is Bob Bangerter's third album, produced by David Inamine, with Bob on guitar and vocals,
Michael Ruff on keyboards and vocals, David Inamine on bass, David Choy on tenor sax, Garin Poliahu on drums,
with Maurice Bega on vocals. We'd call this live ensemble blue jazz, highly interactive musically,
within Bob's arrangements and interpretations. Nominated for Na Hoku Hanohano Jazz Album of 2000.
